Eva Longoria is an American actress, producer, director and screenwriter. She began her career in 2000, appearing in the Beverly Hills 90210 series, and it was in 2001 that she made a name for herself, thanks to her role as Isabelle Braña in The Young and the Restless. She left the show in 2003, then landed a regular role in the L.A. Dragnet series.

In 2004, she obtained the role of Gabrielle Solis in Desperate Housewives. This role propelled her to the title of international star and earned her many awards, including Best Actress at the People's Choice Awards 2007 and Best Female Revelation at the Teen Choice Awards 2005.

In 2006, she obtained her first major movie role in the thriller The Sentinel. That same year, she founded Eva's Heroes, her charity that helps children with intellectual disabilities.


In 2008, she was the headliner of the comedy Over Her Dead Body. In 2011, she lent her voice to the character of chef Da Silva in the animated film Arthur Christmas, and was also cast in the romantic comedy Without Men. Her performance will win her a nomination in the Best Actress category at the NAACP Image Awards.

In addition to her acting career, she became the executive producer of the Devious Maids series. In 2014, she participated in the production of the film John Wick. The following year, she launched her sitcom Telenovela, of which she was an actress and main producer. She will also produce a few episodes. She made her comeback on the big screen in 2016 in the drama LowRiders and continued her work as a director for an episode of the Jane the Virgin series.

From 2016 to 2018, she directed three episodes of the Black-ish series. Meanwhile, in 2017, she obtained a lead role in the mini-series Decline and Fall, then a recurring role in season 3 of the Empire series. At the end of 2017, she returned to television as producer of the series Grand Hotel. She also made an appearance as Guest Star. In 2018, she won a second role in the comedy Overboard, which won her the Best Actress Award at the Imagen Awards. In 2019, she joined the cast of the film Dora and the Lost City of Gold, the film adaptation of the cartoon Dora the Explorer. She plays Elena, Dora's mother. That same year, she directed her first feature film 24/7, in which she also played one of the main roles, and directed the pilot of the Glamorous series.

Eva is the national spokesperson for the association "Padres Contra El Cancer", which helps children with cancer and their families. She supports many charitable organizations such as the Clothes Off Our Back Foundation, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the National Stroke Association, Project HOME and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Her commitment and efforts were rewarded in 2009: she was named philanthropist of the year by "The Hollywood Reporter".

In 2012, she created her own foundation, the "Eva Longoria Foundation", which helps women and children in the disadvantaged Latin American community. She sponsors the "Global Gift Gala", a charity event whose donations are donated to her Foundation, as well as to the "Bertin Osborne Foundation" which helps children with cerebral palsy.
