Ming-Na Wen - Melinda May, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is an American series, derived from the Marvel cinematographic universe. It tells the adventures of a team of secret agents of S.H.I.E.L.D (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division), some of them possessing supernatural powers, who act in the shadow of the famous Avengers by fighting against alien and supernatural forces. Melinda May is a pilot and agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. She is an intelligent woman with a strong character. Her rigid and withdrawn personality is the result of a tragic experience during a mission. She is, however, a fiercely loyal and devoted friend to her loved ones.

Ming-Na Wen is a Chinese-American actress. She began her career in the children's series Mister Roger's Neighborhood in 1985, then landed her first recurring role in 1988 in the American soap opera As the World Turns. It is in 1994 that she is revealed to the general public thanks to the series ER in which she plays the doctor Jing-Mei Chen. At the same time, she started dubbing and lent her voice to the character of Mulan in the 36th animated feature film of the same name by Disney Studios. In 2009, she joined the cast of the series Stargate Universe in the role of Camille Wray, spin-off of the series Stargate SG-1. It is from 2013 that she lands the role of Melinda May in the series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Then in 2019, she joins the series The Mandalorian, a series derived from the Star Wars universe, lending her features to the recurring character of Fennec Shand.
